Brian Haberly, RP®, is a Corporate and Securities Paralegal in Seattle, Washington and the current President of the Washington State Paralegal Association. Brian received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, and his Paralegal Certificate from the University of West Los Angeles, in an ABA-approved program. Brian became a PACE® Registered Paralegal (”RP”) in March 2009.
Haberly has been in the legal profession for nearly 25 years, serving in the Corporate Legal departments of several leading public companies such as Starbucks, Expedia, InfoSpace, and Mosaix (now a division of Avaya Communications). His previous employers included the law firms of Lane Powell PC and Williams Kastner in Seattle; and the firms of Irell and Manella, and Jones Day Reavis & Pogue in Los Angeles.
Brian is currently serving as a Community Advisory Board Member of the Edmonds Community College Paralegal Program. He previously served as an Advisory Board Member of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s inaugural Paralegal Track at the 2007 Corporate Counsel University, and as a speaker at both the 2007 and 2008 programs.
Mr. Haberly has spoken before Paralegal audiences in Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, and St. Louis. A profile of Brian is included in Delmar Cengage Learning’s paralegal textbook, The Law of Corporations, and Other Business Organizations, 5ed. published in 2009.
