According to a recent article in North Carolina’s Lawyers Weekly, (link), Judge J. Rich Leonard of the Eastern District of North Carolina has put audio recordings of his proceedings on PACER, the Court’s document management system. Where document review through PACER is $.08 per page, a downloadable MP3 is available for $.08 per file.
What does this mean for paralegals? Whether you work on the Debtor or Creditor side of bankruptcy matters, you now have access to a time-saver, money-saver, and sanity-saver. It’s currently a pilot program, and NC is among the first seven states to try it out before it goes national.
