Description: The BSU Paralegal Studies Program provides the student both specific and general skills as well as substantive knowledge needed for the role of a paralegal. The education includes general background courses (University core classes or equivalents) as well as some law-related classes such as constitutional law, business law, criminal justice, etc. In addition to these, the student must complete 24 credit hours of law-specialty classes. Examples include Legal Research and Writing, Civil Litigation, Real Estate Law, etc. On successful completion of the program, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion of the Paralegal Studies Program and may also use the credits for a Paralegal Studies minor

Minimum length of time to complete program: 2 semesters.
